The Christmas markets of Central Europe
, By Елена1 min read

From late November to Christmas the squares of Central Europe fill with wooden huts, lights and the smell of cinnamon. The Christmas markets are the best reason for a short trip in winter.
Which city
- Vienna — the market in front of the city hall and dozens of smaller ones across town.
- Prague — the Old Town Square with its big tree and the astronomical clock.
- Budapest — the markets on Vörösmarty Square and by the basilica, with a view of the Danube.
What to taste
Mulled wine, roast chestnuts, honey biscuits and the local Christmas pastries — a little different in every city.
When to book
The December dates sell out early — weekends above all. If you want a particular date, book in the autumn.
